| DIODE LASERS: Diode laser beam combiners |
|
|
BCn series diode laser beam combiners can combine up to four laser diodes with similar
(at least two different wavelengths with 50 nm spacing) or
dissimilar wavelengths (at least 50 nm spacing).
Photo monitor of the combined power output is an optional addition. The standard package features an SMA receptacle for
multimode fiber coupling. The combiners can accept both 5.6 mm and 9.0 mm TO packages.
The fiber beam combiners essentially integrate light sources and WDMs (wavelength division multiplexers). They greatly simplify the
system design by eliminating the fibers between light source (pigtailed laser diodes) and WDMs. The combiner products are ideally suited for
medical devices and diagnostic systems. They have been successfully implemented in FDA approved medical equipments in clinical environments.
