LRD and LRF series pigtailed laser diode modules are cost-effective laser packages. A wide variety of laser wavelengths are
available with the standard 5.6 mm diode cans. Multimode fibers are recommended for better
consistency. Please call if your application requires
singlemode or PM fibers. The small size is ideal for tight spaces.
Unlike most other competing designs on the market, there is no
spatial filter (usually a short section of a SM or MM fiber in a zirconia ferrule)
in the package. Therefore, the package can accept all fiber types. Fibers with large core size, large NA, or both can take advantage of the full
power of the diode laser.
